The beaches of Guardamar

There are 11 km of beaches in Guardamar del Segura.

Here are some of them :

Playa Els Tossals

It is a virgin beach, located north of the mouth of the river Segura, with access from the N-332 road (Alicante-Cartagena) at the height of the 5-star campsite Alannia Guardamar. It extends to the border with the town of Elche. The quality of sand and water, fundamental elements of a beach, is related to the presence of thick vegetation and natural dunes, which make it even more attractive and suitable for the practice of nudism.

Playa Dels Vivers

It is a natural, open and pristine beach that adjoins the river Segura to the north and the beach of Babilònia to the south. It is distinguished by its fine sands and its environment, marked by a large cord of dunes fixed by abundant vegetation and vast pine forests. In the dune area, you can see important archaeological sites known as the Islamic Califal Rábita and the Phoenician city of Fonteta.

Playa de La Babilonia

Located between the beach Centre and the beach dels Vivers, its main characteristic is the presence of the Houses of the Babilònia.

Playa Centro

At the southern limit of the dunes of Guardamar and located in the area closest to the city center, is this beach of half a kilometer, with fine sand and transparent waters, which has the beaches of Babilònia to the north and Roqueta to the south at the limit. It is traversed by the seafront, where you will find a wide range of restaurants to eat by the sea. Nearby is the Reina Sofia Park, a pleasant natural area with springs, lakes and many trees that takes a special animation at sunset.

Playa La Roqueta

It is an open beach located in the urban center of the locality, but also covers at its southern end part of a semi-urban area. It adjoins the Centre beach to the north and the Montcaio beach to the south. Its fine golden sand, the quality of its waters and the services it offers make it very attractive to spend the day with the family.

Playa Del Moncayo

Open spaces and a small dune strip make up this open beach, one and a half kilometers long, of fine golden sand, located in a transition zone between the urban core and the dunes of the extreme south.

Playa del Camp

More than two kilometers of fine golden sand make up this quiet natural beach whose environment is determined by an important area of dunes set with Mediterranean vegetation and dotted with pine forests. This distances any construction from its surface, making it even more peaceful and beautiful.

Playa Les Ortigues

Located on the edge of Torrevieja, it is a vast virgin beach of fine golden sand, with very open spaces and an environment of dunes in an area where the Mediterranean reveals a pure and intense blue. Next to the beach of the Camp, it constitutes a wide strip of golden sand that allows to enjoy long walks.
